Many people think that they actually have to fast before they take any sort of colon cleanser; this is not true at all. It is optional, and it has been known to help just a little bit, but is it certainly not a requirement for a proper cleanse.
The main thing that you want to keep in mind while you are using your colon cleanser is to eat a healthy and balanced type of diet. While fasting is not a requirement for using a colon cleanser, you still want to make sure that you are not overeating. Overeating while using a cleanser can cause some serious problems, and cause your insides to back up even more so than they already are. Maintain a balanced diet, and stay away from fatty foods.

Fasting is okay for the first day, because it can help to get everything moving, but it is not required and it does not mean that your cleanser is not going to work if you do not fast. Fast for the first day or two, and then from there pick up some apples and carrots. Carry a water bottle around with you, wherever you go, that way you can keep from becoming dehydrated, and keep from running into any further problems or issues.
If you are seriously thinking of fasting before using a cleanser, then talk to you doctor. Your doctor can tell you what you need to do before a fasting period and what you want to stay away from. The main thing you want to do is keep yourself safe and healthy, and a colon cleansing system is going to do just that with or without a fasting period. Remember to be smart, and be safe, use a cleansing system for a short time, fast for a short time if you would like, drink plenty of water, and pretty soon you will have that clean colon that you have always wanted!
